Today you will learn how to make money online with affiliate marketing the simple way. Not easy, but simple.

The reason this process isn’t easy is it will take time and effort. You will have to do a lot of work. It will take months of perceptibly no benefit at all.

But then one day, you will see the pay-off. That first sale… Then the money will start rolling in.

If you follow the process in this article, you will be more likely to stick to your business.

The process is:

  • Find a niche
  • Build your website
  • Write reviews on products in your niche
  • Write blogs on topics that refer back to your reviews.

Pick a niche

This is the foundation of the whole project. If you don’t get the niche right, you won’t make it.

The bottom line is you want to stick with a niche you can focus on until you become successful. Hint: You don’t want to go into a niche that seems like work.

In fact, the best niche to go into would be a hobby or interest. If you’re sharing a hobby or interest, in most likely won’t seem like work, and you are less likely to burn out.

So select one of your hobbies to make your niche. I would even write that hobby/niche down on a piece of paper or an index card.

Now lets move on to the next step…

Now lets build your website.

Build your website

Now that you have your niche, it’s time to build the website.

Some of you might be wondering why we pick the niche before setting up the website. Simple… You need to know the your niche before so you can register a brandable domain name for your website.

1) Registering your domain name. As mentioned earlier, you want to register a domain name that is brandable. If your niche is practical prepping, then your domain could be “trypreacticalprepping.com”.

Once you have the domain name idea, you want to go to a web host to get it registered. I recommend this one. The other web hosts on the market tend to be a bit of a headache during the last step of the process.

2) Title the website. Now you need to come up with a title for the website. This is actually very simple. If you use my formula, it will help with branding, too.

Just use the domain name with spaces as the title of the website. It’s that simple. You have unified branding between the domain name and the title, and the title is relevant to the website. Job done.

3) Pick a theme for your website. This is where you pick how your website will look to those who visit it. If you’re using WordPress to build your website (I highly recommend it), most web hosts will automatically install WordPress’s theme of the year (WordPress Twenty-Twenty, for example).

If you want a different theme, you are left to your own devices, and you better hope that your theme formats correctly as well. Sometimes they don’t.

If you use my go-to web host, you will have a library of over 3000 themes to choose from, and they will display correctly every time.

Just select the theme you want in the library. The website will be built with the theme you want automatically installed.

If you have a favorite theme (or set of themes) from the library, you can favorite them to your favorites library. Now when you build a new website, you don’t have to go through the whole library to find the theme you want. Just go to the favorites tab and pull from there.

Write reviews on products in your niche

Now write reviews of products in your niche.

Now start building out your website by writing reviews on products in your niche.

I recommend you actually use the products you review rather than just writing reviews based on reviews. Your readers can tell if you have used the products you’re reviewing or not. So don’t try to fake it.

This is another reason to pick a hobby or interest. You already have books, equipment, and supplies that you are using. Guess where your first reviews will come from?

You will want to also get affiliate links from the sellers of these items. The affiliate links allow you to make a commission off of any sales made by people who used your link. So, you will put these links strategically throughout your article, so people can buy from the seller based on your review.

The reviews should be written in a balanced manner. Let the readers determine if the product meets their needs or not. The easiest way to do this is by writing on both the positive and the negative aspects of the product.

Eventually, you will get enough money off your current reviews to buy new products to review and make even more money for you.  In time, you may even get companies requesting reviews from you… And will send the product for free.  I’ve seen it happen.

Remember, every product you buy to review could be a tax write-off for business expenses. Keep that in mind.

Write blogs on topics that refer back to your reviews

Finally, you want to write blogs that will link back to your reviews. These blogs will be pure content, except for a link or two back to the reviews, usually at the end of the article.

These articles should provide value to the reader. Let’s say your niche is weaving, and you’re writing about how to use a loom. You will give the reader information on how to use a loom. Then at the end of the article, you will put a link to a loom that you’ve reviewed.

You just keep writing these kinds of articles, using long-tail keywords based on keyword research.

You just lather, rense, repeat for the life of the site.

In Conclusion

Building an affiliate website is not hard at all. It just takes time.

You have to write enough content on long-tail keywords to start generating traffic. With enough traffic clicking through your affiliate links, you will eventually start making sales.

If you do this right, you will be making good money-probably even make all your bills-within a year or so.
